Everyday, insha’Allaah, God willing, during the fasting month of Ramadaan, I will share with you a singular du3a, invocation, private, personal, and non-formal prayer between the supplicant and God. These are not “official” prayers in Islam, however they are evocative of the mind and spirit; and are wonderful reminders of the great bounty Allaah (SWT) has bestowed upon us all.
Du3a, invocation, is the act of supplicating to Allaah (SWT). It is done with sincerity to Allaah (SWT) whether one is a believer or not. Allaah (SWT) reminds us of His mercy, Qur’an 4:60 “And your Lord says: ‘Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer)’…” The mercy of Allaah (SWT) is all encompassing and knows no bounds. Turn to Allaah (SWT) with sincerity and hope that our du3as will be accepted and answered by Him, alhamdulillaahi Rabbi 3aalamin.

Ramadan Dua: DAY 1
ALLAAH, on this day make my fasts, the fasts of those who fast (sincerely), and my standing up in prayer of those who stand up in prayer (obediently), awaken me in it from the sleep of the heedless, and forgive me my sins, O God of the worlds, and forgive me, O One Who forgives the sinners.
